On Sunday, September 28th, at the gallery Ahku, is an impressive combined experience of visual art and music awaits, as folk singer Emilia Kallonen makes an artist visit to Jaana Bombin’s, Ritva Kovalainen’s and Ulla Pohjola’s “By the Roots” exhibition!
Kallonen’s rune songs and laments will resonate in dialogue with art works, creating different perspectives and soundscapes around in the exhibition space. During the music, the audience is free to explore the exhibition. The performance lasts about 40 minutes.
There will also be opportunities to discuss the thoughts and ideas sparked by the dialogue with the artists and the exhibition’s works.

3:00 PM: Emilia Kallonen performs the session. Duration approx. 40 minutes.
3.35 PM: Artist meeting with sculptor Jaana Bombin, photographer Ritva Kovalainen and visual artist Ulla Pohjola.
